  7. The Corollary Connection Station, depending upon which software package is
  8. installed, can function like a terminal concentrator using industry-standard
  9. Ethernet host adapters and cabling or as a conventional TCP/IP terminal server
  10. communication with a variety of PC and non-PC computers over Ethernet.

  12. The Connection Station is built on a powerful RISC processor and custom LSI
  13. chips optimized specifically for communications applications. The Connection
  14. Station has easy access RJ-45 connectors located in the front of the unit
  15. supporting RS-423 serial connections, which are fully compatible with RS-232
  16. devices but deliver higher data rates (up to 115.2 Kbps) at longer distances
  17. (up to 2600 feet). The Connection Station also has two options for connection
  18. to the Ethernet: a 10BaseT and a AUI port. Up to four Connection Stations can
  19. be daisy-chained allowing 64 users without a hub. With 10BaseT hubs, it
  20. supports virtually an unlimited number of serial ports.
